Summer on the Circle: “I Want Jesus to Walk With Me”
Summer on the Circle is a relaxed program of education, spiritually uplifting worship and fellowship for young and old. The day begins with Church School for everyone featuring classes for adults, youth and children offering opportunities for interactive experiences. Worship follows in an abbreviated format featuring our own and guest preachers who bring fresh insights into classic Biblical themes.
10 – 10:40 am: Church School for All

The Kingdom Within: the Inner Meanings of the Saying of Jesus:
“The Treasure of the Kingdom of God for Us” (Sanctuary Chancel)
African American Spirituals
“Sometimes I Feel Like a Motherless Child” African American Spirituals and the Black Church (Music Room)
Youth (Middle and High School): Metropolitan Community Church of DC: Primarily LGBT persons and a racially
diverse congregation. (Depart at 10 am)
Children in rising Kindergarten – Fifth Grade: “Renew” is about hope, opportunity and service. Kids learn and
demonstrate that being green can be easy, faithful and fun. (Mabry Room)
10:50 – 11:30 am: Worship for All
Scripture: Matthew 22:1-14
Meditation: “Is There a Place for Us?” Mr. Michael Durst
11:30 am: Fellowship and Coffee Hour
Join us for conversation and light refreshments. (Social Hall)
