KNIT FOR OTHERS

The Knit for Others group meets in the church library (Room #34) on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am to noon.  The organizer of the group, Leigh Case, offers this description: “We knit in community for the community.  Members of our group have knit prayer shawls, baby blankets, hats, mittens, socks, and sweaters, all with the purpose of giving to others.  If you don’t know how to knit, we will get you started with supplies and will teach you this wonderful activity.”   Contact: Leigh Case

SECOND WEDNESDAY BOOK GROUP

Westmorelanders who enjoy reading gather in the church library from 2-4 pm on the second Wednesday afternoon of the month to talk about that month’s choice. The group alternates between fiction and non-fiction books; volunteers bring snacks. Everyone is invited. Contact Betsy Bennett for more information and the next title.

westmoreland Men’s Group

After a several month hiatus, the group resumed meeting in December, 2023, followed by this announcement from John Edie:

“With a membership currently of 37 members, this group is open to any men at the Church.  We roughly try to meet once a month but it varies. Usually we shoot for a "Bring Your Own Lunch" at the church on a Saturday (better for those still working). Occasionally, we have met elsewhere (home, national park, etc.) When possible, we enjoy having a guest speaker and when we do, we generally open up the event and invite all church members. If you are interested in becoming part of this group, please contact John Edie at johnedie66@gmail.com or 301-325-2100.”

60's Generation

The 60's Generation is a group of church minded adults who grew out of and were shaped by the 1960’s. We work and we work out, travel and care for parents and grandchildren, engage enthusiastically with the world around us and seek refuge in the world within. The 60’s Generation meets for social events.   Contact:  Mary Grossnick
