Jessica Petersen

Jessica joined Westmoreland as the Director of Children’s and Youth Ministries in September 2007. She is excited to begin her post-seminary ministry with such a welcoming congregation and loves engaging in ministry with the children and youth. She grew up in rural Iowa where it actually takes 10 minutes to drive 10 miles but is quickly becoming accustomed to the busyness of the DC area. Jessica earned her B.A. in Religious Studies at the University of Iowa. She has completed her requirements for the Masters of Divinity degree at Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO and awaits graduation in May 2008. She is currently in-care of the Northwest Association of the Iowa Conference and is engaged in the process of becoming an ordained minister in the UCC.
