One Great Hour of Sharing
On the first Sunday in April, Westmoreland Church will join with Christians in nine other denominations in receiving the One Great Hour of Sharing offering, which supports the mission work of our own United Church Board for World Ministries and of our interfaith partner, Church World Service. Through their efforts, we are there and ready to assist wherever and whenever disaster strikes in the U.S. or abroad. These agencies also provide sustained development assistance, refugee resettlement, and social service.
Altogether, our gifts to One Great Hour of Sharing, combined with those of other North American Christians, reach needy people in over 70 countries.
Please give prayerful consideration to increasing your OGHS gift this year. Whatever the amount of your offering, you can be sure it will be used for direct humanitarian services worldwide. Every dollar is a gift of living water to someone in need. Checks may be made out to Westmoreland UCC, with OGHS noted in the memo line.
