Approval of February Minutes: Unanimous

BUSINESS

1. Membership Initiative (Growing Together)

   As presented at the Church Board Meeting, this initiative will be lead by a separate committee headed by Peggy Alfonso and Gary McDavid. This group will begin with an inventory of existing membership needs.

2. Church Website

• Will be the focus of our committee for the next year.

• Our objectives will include making the site up-to-date and working with other Boards to enhance utilization of the site;

• Next actions steps will be providing additional demos for church members and contacting other Church committees to encourage their usage of the website as a communication tool; Tim Waidmann will work with Lorrie in the outreach to other committees.

3. Janet Moyer’s Membership Report

• Year to date the Church has welcomed 5 new members, 2 in January and 3 in March.

• Social events are being planned for the Empty Nesters and the Young Professional groups.

• We discussed the possibility of a “buddy system” for prospective new members that involves matching these individuals with existing members; Janet will provide a list of prospective members.

4. Coffee Hour Hosts and Greeters

• Coffee hour hosts are scheduled through June 22

• Jan Lilja will send an email to recruit more greeters

5. Next meeting is May 19th at 7:30. Agenda will include discussion of each committee member’s responsibilities.
